marsci@miami.edu. Launched in January 2010, UGalapagos takes students to the famed Galapagos Islands for a field-oriented semester of study. Through a partnership with the Intercultural Outreach Initiative, located in the picturesque community of Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island, UM offers a a six-course (17 credit) semester tailored to the needs and interests of students majoring in marine science and biology. Courses will be taught sequentially as immersive two-week experiences by UM faculty.
The program is open to qualified students from UM and other universities.
