Description:

Students who participate in the University of Miami’s URome program and meet all of the established criteria listed below are eligible to compete for a scholarship to help defray costs associated with studying abroad. These awards will be up to $2,500.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

  • Be a currently enrolled University of Miami degree-seeking undergraduate student who is majoring or minoring in Religious Studies
  • Have completed 36 credit hours of academic work at UM by the end of the fall semester with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 in all UM courses
  • Have completed 9 credit hours of work in Religious Studies courses by the end of the fall semester with a minimum cumulative REL grade point average of 3.5
  • Be accepted to the URome program
  • Submit this Department of Religious Studies URome Scholarship application together with the completed Application for Admission (including supporting documents) by October 15

Funds are limited, and these are competitive scholarships. Awards will be made on the basis of academic merit, financial need, essay, personal interview, and estimated expenses overseas.
